Scrapstore
Scrapstores around the world and particularly in the UK ensure that communities are able to have a rich and varied diet of textures, colours and types of materials with which to feed their imaginations. For those of us old enough poor and enough you’ll no doubt remember days spent creating dens and imaginary worlds with things you’d found. Like all good quality things imaginative play has never gone out of fashion and is accessible to anyone
The materials that are available change from week to week. We collect from local businesses in Rushcliffe and then to add more variety we swap materials with scrapstores throughout the UK. These swaps also gives us opportunity to share information and experiences. Swaps can be on a “one to one” basis or at a National swap which takes place two or three times a year.
